In their first road test of the season, the Canton High School boys ice hockey team defeated Barnstable High School by a score of 3-1. Goalie Colin Davis led the Bulldogs to victory and made 19 saves in the victory, including several key stops on breakaways and odd-man rushes.
The Bulldogs raced out to an early lead in the first period thanks to a power play goal from Brendan Tourgee off a nice feed from defenseman Matt Anderson. Minutes later, Travis Thomas would tip a shot off the stick of Teddy Shuman to put the visitors out in front by a score of 2-0. Barnstable would cut the lead in half in the second period, and AJ Thomas would reclaim the two goal margin in the third on another power play goal.
Canton returns home to face Hanover on Thursday, December 22nd in their last game before the holiday break.
