The Canton High School Boys Ice Hockey team is proud to announce four captains for the upcoming 2019-20 season.
Senior forward Johnny Hagan will return to lead the team again after serving as a junior captain last season. Hagan proved himself as one of the most talented players in the state, scoring 21 goals and adding 31 assists last year. His hat trick at the Boston Garden helped lead the Bulldogs to their second state title. In three years, Hagan has already notched 111 points.
Joining Hagan as captains will be senior defenseman Owen Lehane as well as senior forwards Timmy Kelleher and Tommy Ghostlaw. A four year varsity player, Lehane had an outstanding junior season anchoring the Bulldogs defense while adding four goals and 10 assists. After suffering an early season knee injury, Kelleher fought back to health and was a rock on the Bulldogs top line, scoring 12 goals on the right wing last year. Arguably the team's most improved player from the prior season, Ghostlaw centered the Bulldogs second line, scoring 13 points while being a key player in the defensive zone and in man-down situations.
